NINGALOO 2009

We went for a week up to Ningaloo with the Wells family and met up with the Heys family who were already there and holding a campsite for us. We were really spoilt with awesome weather and some good fishing. We had a really nice and relaxing time, especially since Rhylan had so much company and enjoyed the beach to the point where we hardly saw or heard him!! Unfortunately a week just isn't enough in such a beautiful part of our country but that is all that work could allow!!

All excited and ready to go! Little does he know the next 14hours will be spent in the car!

So peaceful, if only he stayed that way!! Instead he woke up every few hours and turned into a parrot!! Not to mention how he would yell out across a service station if he saw his pop!! :) We can't complain he was really good!

Last civilised stop, Minilya Roadhouse

Last bit of bitumen before the track, finally!

About 5 minutes into the track and a long way to go

From the first gate onwards the track turned into one muddy mess as they had some rain the night before

Later on when we went home it was even worse!

Rhylan just so happy to be out of the car and playing with his new toys. Think it was a bit glarey though!!

Setting up camp

Darren loved to visit

First look at the beach, it was overcast but flat calm

Loving his bath even though it had the tiniest bit of water in it!

In his element, playing motorbikes with Kane

... and jumps with Clint

Heading out for a fish looking back at camp

Whales at play, although never got close enough this time for some good shots :(

Chase literally reeling in the big one that got away. It was a HUGE mackrel which he got right to the surface but it got off. Clint was so mad he nearly dived in after it as it slowly swam away!

Wells' camp on the left and ours on right

So much work went into this not to mention the amount of water they carried in buckets to fill it!!
