WHERE DID OUR BABY GO?!
Last week Tahnee decided that laying on the floor just isn't good enough anymore and that she is now big enough to sit!
She is growing up (and outwards!) too fast! Not only determined to sit but also wants to be on the move! But as you can see so happy about it!! :)

The day I realised she can sit on her own... just over 6 months old

We have been having some work done around the house. Gardenbeds, retaining wall, paving to get the back of the house tidied up and also hopefully get rid of those puddles! Looks like mostly bricks for now but hopefully one day we can put some more lawn down and fill the garden beds :)

The bricked in square on the left is a sandpit for the kids. Although Rhylan thinks its so much more fun to play in the dirt!

One of Rhylan's cute moments... he fell asleep on the couch watching Thomas :)

SISTERLY LOVE
Check out what a pest little miss Tahnee is! Cheeky grin and all! She loves to lay in Rhylan's bed with him but can't leave him alone!

This is how I get my folding done! :)
Tahnee will sit in the trough like this for ages! Pity she is starting to get too big for it!

A few weeks ago we had some more much needed rain...
As you can see Rhylan couldn't be happier!! I on the other had don't really enjoy washing 4 pairs of trackies a day but I can't keep him inside so I just put his raincoat on and let him go! On these photos it was raining and he was like a drowned rat!!

Tahnee seems to be like her brother and loves books already!

Hmmm wonder how it tastes!?

I was struggling to get things back to normal after our (unrelaxing) holiday. Then this little unfamiliar car turned and she had something for Me!! Darling Clint had sent these flowers to brighten my day :)

YUM first taste of food!

We enjoyed a visit recently from Pop & Nanna, Aunty Sandra & Aunty Jeanette recently when they came up for Pop to have cataract surgery. So nice to see that they can still enjoy their great grandchildren!

The day we left for Ningaloo I decided to try putting Tahnee in the jolly jumper while we packed... and she loves it! Here she is almost 6 months and getting better at it! The only problem is I only really put her in there when big brother isn't around as he tries his best to get her to go really high with a bit of his help :)

KIDS

The other Sunday I went a little crazy with the camera and took a heap of photos of the kids. It was one of those days! Other times it seems I forget to get the camera out! They really do grow up fast! Rhylan is MR BOSSY and Tahnee continues to be LITTLE MISS SMILEY! People at the shops love her as she will grin at anyone :) At least one of them is easy for me!

NINGALOO 2010

So... the long awaited holiday finally arrived! We were all packed and ready to go by 2pm. It was nice to be leaving the rain and heading for the sunshine and beautiful beaches of Ningaloo!!

But it seems it was going to be one of those holidays where things just don't go how we would like!

After a long 18+ hours of driving we came to a road closed sign because they had a heap of rain and the road was flooded! So after doing the longer detour we finally got to the track to find that there was another road closed sign!! After talking to some people that come out the track and being told the track was dry Clint picked up that sign and threw it in the bush! Nothing was going to stop us!!

So we set up camp, enjoyed the sunshine and the boys got the boat ready for Monday's fishing. Well some of them as it ended up Damien had forgotten a gas fitting so he already had to head up to Exmouth... that was the first trip!

Monday the boys went out and us girls waited patiently.... and then the worst sight appeared... there came the boat but it was being towed in!! The motor had broken down, thankfully inside the reef and they had to call sea rescue to get them home. So disappointing but so thankful that when it stopped they were inside the reef as the wind and swell picked up quite dramatically after that!!

Wednesday the boys took the boat up to Exmouth where it got fixed but unfortunately after that the wind came up and they didn't get to go for a fish until the Monday, with not the greatest results.

Friday we went up to Exmouth again to get some supplies and it was also windy. When there is wind the kids just don't play nice and it doesn't make the most relaxing holiday for mums!!

So after 4 straight days of wind we decided to pack up camp and head for home. There is no worse feeling than packing up feeling disappointed and like you haven't really had a relaxing holiday!! We were thankful to arrive home safe (after hitting a kangaroo and Damien and Linda almost hit a cow!). Looking back there were some great times and it hasn't put us off going again!! Apparently it was just one of those years!!
Well, here are the photos! Enjoy!
Now I need a holiday!! :)
(note: I have put a heap of photos on so you will need to click on the older posts link at the bottom twice to see them all)

Watching the portable dvd player - best invention EVER!!

One of the only puddles on the track

Just another patience tester! Reparing rollers on the boat that kept coming off.
