A RAINY DAY

Thursday the 30th of June started out pretty well. The rain had been bucketing down all morning but I had managed to keep the kids entertained inside for an hour or 2....



... but then they escaped outside and found this!!!!!!

They were having so much fun I didn't bother to get angry or stop them!
But I am starting to wonder if its only my kids that do this sort of thing!?!?
Or am I the only mum silly enough to let them?? :)

CHICKENS!
Back in June we got some day old chickens. The kids loved them... almost to death! One ended up in the light with a burnt butt and with some love got better, one flapped its way out of the aquarium they were in and ended up in Tahnee's hands almost strangled, and the third ended up apparently 'stuck' and when it got pulled out had a broken leg! I splinted the leg and it turned out fine! Unfortunatley, one of the first days they ended up in their cage outside a certain little man opened their cage door and we lost one to one of the dogs!
Oh well, 4 eggs a day is good for us!!

At 17 months Tahnee decided she could eat all by herself!
She does a really good job too!
